Scottsdale businesses are sitting prettier than usual this time of year, thanks to a newly re-imagined, highly creative and visually stunning holiday tourism campaign.
The holidays are already a busy time for Scottsdale tourism. The popular and family-friendly north Scottsdale neighborhoods always attracts added business to their world renowned restaurant and retail centers.
Local officials at the Scottsdale Convention and Visitors Bureau quarterly meeting Dec. 3rd said economic indicators suggest this year will be bigger than ever. New faces, fresh ideas and added public funding were credited as the driving forces behind the recently retooled tourism marketing plan.
The central theme of the new plan turns traditional holiday imaging on its ear in an effort to illustrate the value in a Sonoran Desert inspired holiday. Clear sunny skies and refreshingly warm winter weather are emphasized as the reason to flock to Scottsdale for this special time of year.
Colorful images feature luxurious resorts and spas in and around the north Scottsdale, DC Ranch area as viable holiday getaways. Illustrations of winter enjoyment in unconventionally bright and sunny settings alongside unique takes on traditional holiday choruses such as “The Weather Outside is Delightful” and “Hiking in a Winter Wonderland” are central to the new campaign. These and more can be seen at at the Scottsdale CVB website as well as billboards and subway wraps in airports and large metropolises around the country.
